UEA Headquarters Ribbon-Cutting

The UEA Headquarters is now finished, with its ribbon cut just last week!

Located in Murray, Utah, this state-of-the-art facility offers an educational hub to the many UEA members across the state. Its welcoming environment and collaborative spaces ensure that meetings and events can be accessed by Utah educators for meetings, conferences, and events—whether in-person or through remote access using the facility’s advanced technology systems.

The project involved partial demolition of the existing UEA office building, site preparation, parking lot demolition, and vital repairs to the remaining portion of the initial building. Our efforts resulted in the new 20,209-SF, two-story facility for the usage of UEA members and education-related organizations alike. it features a community room with flexible, classroom-style seating for up to 84 people, multiple conference rooms, and video conferencing technology.

This landmark project was a major collaborative effort between UEA, Forge Contractors, and Think Architecture. The partnership between Forge, Think, UEA and the talented subcontractors, along with the unwavering support from Murray City and the Mayor’s office, made it possible for this long-awaited building to be completed.

At the ribbon-cutting event, Rod Hurd with the UEA said, “From this place, let’s promote the highest ideals for education as well as for the justice and protection of the children of Utah. This is our Headquarters, our home … our place.”

Thank you to all the teachers, UEA administration, and Mayor Brett Hales who attended this special event. Greg Fix, President of Forge Contractors, noted, “A building is made up of concrete, brick, and steel, but it’s what’s inside this building that is most important; it’s the people who will shape the minds of future generations for years to come. Congratulations UEA.”

As a hub for collaboration and advocacy in Utah’s education sector, this headquarters will provide lasting, legacy value for the organization and educators of Utah for years to come. Congratulations to UEA and everyone involved!

Thank you to the entire design and construction team!
